Abril Aguirre, MHA (2022-2024)

Abril Aguirre grew up in Oklahoma City, OK but has also spent some time in Texas, where most of her family lives. She attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, earning her Bachelor of Arts in May 2020. Abril double-majored in Public & Nonprofit Administration and Community Health. During her time in school and volunteer opportunities, Abril’s passion for serving underserved communities and representing minority populations grew. To pursue these interests, she chose to tap into healthcare and seek a Master of Healthcare Administration while staying at the University of Oklahoma. As a full-time student, she worked for the CDC Foundation at a county health department as a COVID-19 Case Investigator and Contact Tracer helping families navigate the challenges of the pandemic. Abril also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Epidemiology Department at the College of Public Health. For her first year in the fellowship program, Abril closely collaborates with nursing leadership at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Her career interests include patient experience, quality improvement, and population health. During some downtime, Abril enjoys visiting family, camping, and trying new restaurants. She hopes to continue exploring Columbus and getting more involved in the community.
Mohammed Baseer, MHSA (2022-2024)

Mohammed is from Dublin, Ohio and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University. Throughout his undergraduate career, he interned and volunteered in positions that focused on bridging the gap between the communities and Public Health. From there, he pursued his Master's in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan. During his studies, Mohammed spent his time as a Graduate Student Instructor and served on the DEI Committee and the Health Policy Student Association and achieved third place in the Advocate Aurora Health case competition. Mohammed completed his administrative internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he got exposed to meaningful projects in different departments of the hospital such as operations, finance, strategy, and HR. Mohammed is passionate about improving access to equitable healthcare for children and the elderly population. As he embarks on his fellowship journey at OhioHealth, Mohammed plans to widen his experiences and understanding of healthcare through rotations and mentorship while contributing to the mission of OhioHealth and making a significant impact in his community. Outside of work, Mohammed enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
Haley Comstock, MHA (2022 – 2024)

Haley grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her Bachelor of Science and Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. Haley’s passion for positively impacting others’ lives derived from participating in medical mission trips with Operation Rainbow, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical care to children in underserved countries. Haley completed a summer internship at Baylor College of Medicine, where she worked closely with the Senior Director of the Department of Surgery. She spent her time observing clinical staff-patient interactions to ensure department protocols were followed, and assisted with recruiting medical assistants. Her time at Baylor solidified her interest in pursuing a professional career in healthcare. This led her to attend The Ohio State University, where she received her Master of Health Administration. While at OSU, she worked at Ohio State University Physicians, managing projects such as APP access, MOU transplant analysis, and pharmaceutical drugs cost vs. revenue analysis. Haley’s professional interests include healthcare operations, process improvement, quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and expansion projects. In her free time, Haley enjoys adventuring outdoors, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.
Marissa Sandkuhler, MHA (2022-2024)

Marissa grew up in Racine, WI and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, complemented by minors in Business and Global Health. Immediately following graduation, she went on to attend the University of Minnesota in pursuit of her Master of Healthcare Administration. During this time, Marissa enjoyed volunteering at a free student-run clinic, serving as co-director for a nationwide interprofessional case competition, and participating in case competitions herself, finding success at the 2022 UAB Case Competition where her team placed first. She completed her administrative residency at an FQHC in Colorado, where she gained a unique perspective on patient access, health disparities, and the importance of primary care. Marissa graduated from the University of Minnesota in May 2022, with designation as an Interprofessional Scholar and as an inductee of the Delta Omega Honor Society. She is thrilled to spend the first year of her fellowship in the Clinical Enterprise and have the opportunity to explore both strategic and operational planning while enhancing her leadership abilities. After work, Marissa enjoys exploring new restaurants, playing intramural volleyball, reading, and yoga.
Hadyn Bowen, MBA (2023 - 2025)

Hadyn grew up in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, where he discovered his passion for healthcare through firsthand experiences with injuries as a young athlete. His interest in sports medicine rehabilitation led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Health and Rehabilitation with a minor in Psychology at Ohio State University. As he progressed through his program, Hadyn realized his true calling was healthcare administration. Inspired to address health disparities, promote health equity, and increase diversity in healthcare leadership, he went on to earn his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management at Ohio Dominican University. Hadyn engaged in community service and health promotion events, fueling his understanding of the significance of leadership in the healthcare industry. Hadyn sought out opportunities to learn from athletic training professionals and worked as a medical assistant in podiatric medicine. These hands-on clinical experiences played a pivotal role in shaping his understanding of healthcare. Most recently before his fellowship journey, Hadyn took on a role as a Data Quality Coordinator with ChenMed, a value-based healthcare organization, where he worked directly with the leadership team and oversaw clinical patient coordination. In his free time, Hadyn enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and physical activity.
Megan Cameron, MHA (2023 - 2025)

Megan grew up in Dublin, Ohio and completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University where she majored in Human Development with minors in Business, Gerontology, and Health Policy. She completed undergraduate internships at a skilled nursing and rehab facility and in the Office of Patient Experience at MetroHealth, which sparked her interest in the complexities of health administration and the opportunity to make large scale improvements for patients, employees, and organizations alike. Following graduation, she immediately pursued her Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University. At OSU, Megan worked with the Strategy team at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, participated in the OSU First-Year Case Competition, served as a Teaching Assistant for several graduate level and undergraduate level classes, and was the Community Service Chair for AFHE. Megan completed her summer residency at OSUWMC University Hospital and Ross Heart Hospital, where she did projects in operations, business development, finance, and policy. She is excited to spend the first year of her fellowship with the Joint Ventures team and further explore both strategy and operations while developing her leadership skills. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, working out, trying new restaurants, and catching up with friends and family.
Kay Musika, MHA (2023 - 2025)

Kay grew up in Silver Spring, MD. She attended George Mason University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and Policy. Kay has always had a passion for healthcare and serving individuals within her. She spent some time as a Certified Medical Assistant, which helped her gain a clinical perspective of patient care. Post-graduation, Kay gained diverse work experience coordinating transitional care for patients discharged from acute care facilities. This exposed her to care management, finance, HR, and operations. Most importantly, this sparked her passion for health equity, quality and safety, patient experience, and process improvement. This led her to pursue her Master of Health Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park. As a full-time student, Kay was a Graduate Assistant for undergraduate advising at the School of Public Health and on the board of the Health Policy and Management Student Association (HPMSA). She also interned at Freedman Healthcare, a health data consulting firm, where she assisted with implementing healthcare reform policies within various healthcare organizations. Outside of work, Kay enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to concerts, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.

Anna grew up in the small town of Roanoke, AL. She attended Dalton State College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. During her undergraduate career Anna was presented with several opportunities to serve her local community by working with The Salvation Army and The Northwest George Healthcare Partnership. During her time at each non-profit, she was able to create programs to better serve the community. While she has always had a passion for helping others, Anna's true passion lies within the betterment of the healthcare industry. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she decided to pursue a Master of Healthcare Administration at The George Washington University in our nation's capital. During her time Anna was able to complete an internship at Providence Cedars-Sinai where she developed a passion for hospital operations. Anna will be spending the first year of her fellowship assisting with the construction of Pickerington Methodist Hospital, a new care site in the OhioHealth network. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time experimenting in the kitchen and bonding with her family and friends.
